Here's another track. Any comments are welcome, it could be that its too bland. This time I used model bridges :) This track was finished some weeks ago but I wanted to wait to post here after I learned some things from HiddenAirbase (like adding models [:P] ).

Dunno if you like the style, but here it is,

Those first two jumps are extremely long. I never made it with 1600 gears. Rookies will never make it.

On a lighter note, that sail boat needs ballast hehe.

Overall, excellent work.

i havent tried this track, so ill refer to phineus's pictures.

i dont know if the arctic wasteland textures set came with all four turns (i know it would if you used the txx), or just compressed to one. but i think you will have better luck with seams if you use all four turns instead of just rotating one. i know it will add more textures, but i dont think it should be too much trouble.

Oh yeah, a very nice piece of work you got going here, Ash! Nothing to add to what Phin already found, but I'll look more tomorrow. I'm dead tired at the moment, and I have a knack for screwing stuff up when I'm in this condition. :)

Too bad there isn't an end section for these spots.

If you're patient, I'm sure we can find something for you.

Then there's overlapping models on this bridge.

http://cownap.com/~forum/beta/ashes/ice7.jpg

It's not a big deal, but maybe something to think about would be like a draw bridge affair so you actually jump over and on to the second section. I don't know, just trying to think of a way around the overlap.

Very good work. This one's almost ready.

I dont know what you mean to solve the bridge problem, do i have to put them next to each other and not make them overlap?

And yes, im patient, i will also need a texture with half grey half white. To know what I mean, drive to the skipiste go down and go right. There is a snow cat base over there and take a look at the corners, you will see what I mean.

Here you go.

<a href="http://mtm2.com/~tracks/beta/ARCTICENDS.zip">ARCTICENDS.zip</a>

Just rotate them for the other directions. That 'should' work.

[ edit ] and I tossed in a corner piece for you. I haven't tried it so I hope it works well enough.

As for the bridge, I don't know. I mean, it's not terribly bad.. but I did notice it on the first pass because the textures do some flickering. We could possibly resize it too.
