I packed four mdmre programs into a single zip.

- mtm2 file searcher
- bin texture replacer
- the set of palette master programs
- winpod

The zip also includes

- support files
- txt files

The programs do not need to be installed. Just unzip to the mtm2 folder and use.

mdmre_essentials.zip (549k)

I did this because I find the install programs slow and tedious and thought having the main programs in one spot would be convenient.

interesting that I haven't touched an MDMRE program in over 2 years....I used to use the texture replacer before I learned how to use HexWorkShop.

I like Frank Racis' binnamer program too, and I probably use tracked2 less than most people (old habit from when it wouldn't work for me). But I use all sorts of things depending on what I'm doing at the time, and the mood of the moment.

Sure is. Phineus has a link to it on one of the truck-making pages here at MTMG...

This is a free one. Simple, yet effective.

I noticed that. :) I discovered that program back in October, when I went looking for a simple, reliable and free hex editor. I isolated that one as a winner, then mentioned it to Phineus and Malibu350. My little review:

"I found a nice freebie that was just what I wanted - XVI32, about 400kb, no installion, just unzip and run, well coded and documented, and seems to have just enough features. I tracked it's behavior and found it doesn't touch the registry and it quite clean and well behaved, all in all scoring high marks on what I look for in utilities."
