How many pods/tracks/trucks do you have mounted?

D:\METAL\CRUSH2\core\RACE.CPP

RACE.CPP is the main C++ source file. MTM2 was written on VisualC++ that's why. That dir doesn't really exists. It is compiled in the MONSTER.EXE executable.

I think you have mounted more than 99 sits.

I had just the stock stuff in, and it was doing it, then i refreshed cowpod (for the 5th time today) and it finally worked, im thoroughly confused now

would having 2 different pod mounting programs (podIt and Cowpod) in the MTM2 file cause it?

Shouldn't matter how many programs you have in the mtm directory.

Coincidentally, you're the second person to get this error in just a few months.

For what it may be worth, cowpod should prevent saving a bad pod.ini file because it searches for missing pods and will exclude anything it doesn't find. I'd be open to the possibility of a bug but if you only have stock pods then I can't imagine what it might be doing wrong, especially since it's been used for several years without incident.

When a file in pod.ini cannot be found on the hard drive, you get this

When you have too many pods in pod.ini, you get this

So this is still unknown.

and I think if u have too many sit files MTM2 simply doesn't load, it hangs as a process.

If I take a sit file from a track and stick in it a pod by itself, I get an "unable to read level" message. If I add the lvl file, I get an "unable to open vga palette" message.

Here's a question. Where did you get your game. Truth now, please. Without the truth, you could be sending us on wild goose chases. After all, both incidents of this error were cured by redownloading a truck or 'refreshing' cowpod (whatever that means). Anyway, I'm curious if this might not be a source of the game problem. If you don't want to say in the forum, please just pm me with a note, thanks. I'd like to track this down if we can.

By George, I figured it out, its the trucks

if i load to many trucks the game wont start, dunno why, all those years of using podmam, i was limited to only 32 or so pods, so i didnt know stuff like that hehe
