If you have had problems with Vista saving .ini files , here is a fix . Each time I ran Evo2 , it was like the first time I started it . No profiles , screen resolution , joystick configs , nothing .
The fix is you must "take ownership" of the .ini file (metal.ini in this case) , it will then allow the file to be saved . GREAT , I think , how hard could that be . If your good with DOS (makes me sneeze) it's simple . Two dos prompts must be run on the file to do it .
I got the first 1 to run but could not get the second one to . Back to Google . TA DA !!!!!!!!!!
Download these .reg files and run them . They will add a "Take Ownership" option to your right click menu . One does it and the other undoes it . Problem solved . I have not tried the tool listed below these two , but you should be able to solve your problem from this page . Here is the addy .
