Hi guys,

I was trying to load Altitude 2 to race with the guys at RenGames lastnight, but all I got was this error message.

Image

I tried re-dl'ing the track from MTMG, I also tried putting the .pod file in a different list, but got the same screen. Everything looks ok in my pod.ini, we even ran a few tracks in the ALT list before trying to run Altitude 2, and the previous tracks worked with no problems. I even let the guys go ahead without me while I tried to fix the problem, when I couldn't, I went back in to the Multiplayer screen and waited for the next track, which worked. So it's only Altitude 2 that is giving problems. I also tried adjusting my graphics from full to sparse, no go.

Any ideas out there? Thanks.

It might help if you could read the error message! And the "Image Shack" version is no bigger, or clearer! :)

'Bad Texture Size' sometimes means that the texture is missing from the pod, or the .sit is calling for the wrong texture due to conflict or corruption.

in this case the games looking for BAN007.RAW which is not in the Alt2.pod

Do you have Fixmore4 mounted? That should fix the problem.

I can see the pic I posted just fine. I saved it at 640x480. Don't know why you can't see it Disposable.

Mal, I have Fixmore4.pod at the top of the list.

Then you have another track mounted that's conflicting with the alt2.pod

I would try unmounting tracks one by one to find the culprit at this point.

The BAN0* series of raw files are from mtm1 checkpoint banners that were popular in older tracks.

Is the fixmore date May 19, 2005 ?

Place alt2.pod above fixmore and try.

Remove fixmore and try.

1. Fixmore is dated 5/11/2005

2. Tried that, no go.

3. Tried that, no go.

I guess now I start seeing which track is causing problems. I tried putting the alt2.pod in a list that I have that just has the stock tracks, like when you first install the game. It wouldn't work there either.

Delete the fixmore and redownload it. You've got the pre-release candidate there.

Kind of interested to see how this one comes out. I haven't been in Ren Games in the past few days, so I haven't been able to offer much help, SCAT. I'll try and hook up with ya tomorrow if you haven't resolved it by then.

Realize, however, that if you can't get it fixed (sooner rather than later) we'll have to consider booting you off the team lol.

 Ya sure, uh huh. :P

That newer Fixmore4 did the trick. I can run Altitude 2 now. Wonder what was wrong with the earlier Fixmore? I didn't notice any problems before, except with Altitude2.

Thanks Phin.
