Hello MTM2 fans!

I am new here and I have a question for you all. I was wondering if there was any way to increase the view distance in MTM2. That is the only thing that really bugs me about this game is the "pop in" background when you are playing. I have the in game visibility option set to 100%, but I just want to know if there is any way to increase it farther. I've found settings in other games, such as Carmageddon 2, to increase view distance, but I can't seem to find a value to increase it in this game.

Any help you could supply me with would be greatly appreciated.

Crank all the in game graphics options up to 100%, that's about all you can do.

btw... rocketalces made some great tracks with the very limited 'view distance' this game offers in mind here > http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=rocketal

Yea, all of my graphics options are all the way up.

Wow, those are some nice maps. Thanks for that link!

There has got to be some kind of value to modify or patch out there to download or something to fix this. I mean come on, this game has been out for 9 years and no one has addressed this issue yet? Any other ideas guys?

In the MONSTER.INI file there's a flag...

visibleTiles=20


I don't know if this will really work

visibleTiles = 40 or 80 or 100 or anything did not make any difference last time I tried.
