friend of mine has a problem in mtm2, he cant play it

its strange but, this is the series of events

this happens with and withou tthe patch

he cna load the game, choose a track, truck, etc. but when he hits start, his screen goes black and his PC freezes and can't load the game, and often it cascades into his entire computer and stops everything from working and he has to cold boot.

he runs a dell @ 2 ghz, 128 meg VRam windowws XP home, unknown sound and dell flat screen monitor

Sounds like a graphic driver problem. Can it run in software mode?

no, craps out before loading screen

he recnetly change the brand of his video card entirely and it still doesnt work, it also doesnt work on all dell PC's of the same production.

he brought it to family member's houses who all bought the same PC at the same time and it doesnt work for any of them

odd. you're sure that none of the data is corrupt?

Has anyone made an MD5 sums for the MTM2 Files?
I would but I'm running linux right now and cant get to my Win2k NTFS partition.

I don't know if this will be of any help at all but I helped a friend who has never owned a pc before get his dell flatscreen (digital) up and running about three weeks ago. I installed mtm2 as part of my fee :) The only problem I had with it is that it was set at some rediculus resolution and mtm2 would not run proper until i bumped it down to 1024x768... after that it ran flawless.

the solution was isntall the mtm2 demo first, then that worked so he isntalled the full version, then it started working.... go figure lmao
