How about the best times in MTM2? Some-one mentioned this to me today at the turnny. Cant remember what they said to delete.

>> MTM2 High Scores

If the "MTM2 High Scores" file gets too large, exiting a game can take a long time. Delete the file and the game will make a new blank one. Zip it up first if you want to save the scores.

Great, thats been a problem for a time. Big Thanks Phineus. As a matter of fact thats what happened last week. But froze before it ever went through. Today it was a big hassle. Like a bug in your computer and finally
finding it, LoL

Is there a fix to the problem of having some screens in the game remain there for several minutes at a time?

-The black screen between clicking "GO" and the loading screen
-The black screen between clicking the full screen button on the Instant Replay screen
-The black-and-white picture of a truck at certain parts of the game.

These screens take forever to get away. It is especially annoying when it takes longer to end a race then to pause and restart MTM2!

Does this have anything to do with large files? (Note: it takes forever to load but does NOT affect gameplay.)

I'm not sure what causes it, but I have been going through similar delays over the several months when starting or ending a race. I did a fresh install of MTM2 with no add-on pods and recently installed a new graphics card, but the delays persist.

I'm going to assume that this is a sign that my registry is getting loaded down with too much crap , and it's time to reformat and re-install Windows. This has not happened to me in the past previous years I have had MTM2 installed....Not even on my slow pentium-1 machine.

I wonder if Windows XP and one or more of it's "patches" has anything to do with it? I'll let you know what happens when I finally do the re-install of my OS (which I have been putting off since 2004 heh-heh)

If you haven't already, zip up the MTM2 High Scores file and then delete it.
