In netscape the little eyeball means a cookie. I don't know what it means in IE.

That would be the old web ring. It's been around for a while, but perhaps they did something to change the code. I really couldn't say. But the two files you mention are straight from the webring setup.

In this case, I think you're safe ...tho if it poses problems we'll be rid of it quickly enough. One day I plan to write our own web ring, but I have about eightteen things ahead of it on the todo list.
