Well. I want to install MTM2 on the comuters at school (lol) so i copied as much of it as i could to my 128mb usb flash drive. I had to leave out the movies and a few pod files.

so as it is insytalling it tells me when it comes across a file that is missing and it also asks wether i want to abort/retry/ignore.
So i just hit ignore for eveything cause i dont want to stop the installationa nd retrying wont help.
So. Then i go into the pod.ini that was installed on the system so i can weed out the pods i had deleted and a funny thing showed up: The pod.ini isnt copied directly from the CD.
I got this:

19
startup.pod
music.pod
sound.pod
truck2.pod
cockpit.pod
ui.pod
tpark.pod
e:\mtm2\alaska.pod
junk.pod
crazy98.pod
e:\mtm2\snake.pod
main.pod
e:\mtm2\aztec.pod
e:\mtm2\outback.pod
rockqry.pod
e:\mtm2\baja.pod
summit1.pod
summit2.pod
summit3.pod

The e:\ paths are the supposed paths of where the pods should have been on the flash drive.

Now that i think of this i'd bet this is so when you do a minimum install it just puts e:\blah for everypod in the pod.ini

I'd bet if you added a pod to the pod ini and added a pod to the installation directory that the installation program would copy that over too :)

just thought i'd let u all know this neat little thing i discovered.

What happens if you just install on your hdd, and zip up the mtm2 folder, and then unzip on your school comp?
