Does anybody know how to delete selected parts of the "MTM2 High Scores" file?

After the end of a race it takes minutes for the result screen to appear. THis is not the case with deleted file., but I would like to keep the lap times of the tracks I use.
On the other hand, tons of tracks are listed that I tested long time ago and will never run again. Is there a way to get rid of these entries? The file is not in plain text :-(

Any hint appreciated

I don't know of a way to delete selected parts, don't know if there is one... as far as I know it's not possible to edit it.... what I do is pull the old high scores file out, rename it by date and put it into a 'old high scores' folder... MTM will create a new blank slate high score file the next time you run the game, then any time you want to review some old scores you can always rename the old one back to what it was put it back into the mtm dir then review it in mtm again.

There once was a program by a very ambitious programmer that would do everything in mtm, and while it was at it, it would do your laundry and make toast for breakfast. I just checked around to see if this was one of the features but find the site no longer exists.

Okay, I searched around and found leo's site

If anybody knows of a program that can edit the highscores file, leo would know. He's a great guy and I'm sure he'll answer any emails he gets.

I also just rename and store them in another folder. hehehe got tons of them now. Since it was not to practicle to look for specific lap times, it's one of the thing that motivated me to start my hof page project.

a guy from NKA made a program designed to edit the high scores file in MTM1. to be honest i havent tried using it for mtm2 high score files but here ya go anyway..

http://www.badassrebels.net/files/utilities/tracksetv11.zip

TrackSet V1.1 By NKAc_Seattle

ive never really explored this program much, either it is a system for track shortcuts and/or also a HOF editor

by first glimpse anywayz, check it out, get back to me on what it actually does, ive had this laying around for years and never really touched it hehe [uhoh]

All files are editable - u guys should know that.
It's ust a matter of figuring out how. When i get home (right now i'm at work (on break)) i'll check it out with my hex editor.

I have tried it. Apparently it is not doing anything with MTM2.
A list of 3 tracks appears which are totally unrelated to my pod.ini and hof files. Guessing from menu entries, it is likely that you could edit MTM1 hof files. It's not clear however and there is no help.

Did the MTM1 hof and pod.ini use the same file formats than MTM2?
If so, maybe one should create a folder named like the default install folder of MTM1 and copy pod.ini and hof into it, and try again.
:?
