Do we have any old-fashioned artists on the forum? I'm talking about pen & paper, paint, etc. All I'm asking is, if you will, for you to post pictures of your drawings or paintings. I would start, but I don't have a scanner here. Don't worry, this isn't a contest. By the way, they don't have to be monster truck related. I have been drawing since pre-school, so if I do get a scanner, watch out.

True artists, are a dying breed with all the computers now. I've often said, "I have the right talent, for the wrong town..." which is true.

On my site I have just a few of my drawings, but tons more that won't fit in a scanner. I find it sad, I went to college, for 2 years, couldn't afford tuition for the other 2, and dropped out. But there were guys there that couldnt draw a straight line without a ruler, that are prolly making a $100,000 a year now, drawing square buildings...

If anyone does draw, trust me, keep doing it, there aren't many of us guys left.

I checked out your drawings Rep Fan, I gotta say, you're pretty good. I'm not drawing much right now, I've got a good book i read at school, and the homework is a little much for me to handle. (I thought your senior year was supposed to be the most fun, not Mine! :( ) I've got a lot I want to show off, The one I want to show off most is a picture I drew of Axel Steel from Guitar Hero a few years back. Now if only I could find it...

I respectfully disagree, repfan. True artistic talent can survive in any medium.

And dont sweat senior year, PM, mine isnt exactly a cake walk either.

I think I've posted this before, just a Grave Digger I drew, unfortunately my printer turned the paper yellow and it got crumpled a bit.

Hey, Bigfoot_Power_Wheels, that picture looks an awful lot like it was done on a computer.

Notice it's a two-wheel drive - only kickin' up dirt by the rear tires.

Very nicely done Matt n' nome.

Well, crap, it seems my purported artistic skills have been "unmasked" to say the least. That entire post (and the intentionally shoddy MSPaint picture) was intended to be heavily sarcastic, which I should know by now doesn't always translate well over the internet. Plus, upon closer inspection, I fear a misspelling or two may have occurred, but I will need more time to confirm this.

I actually do draw when i get the bug. The majority of my drawings are abstract 3d collages (tubes, pipes, and other objects) that wrap around each other twist, drop and tangle. Think like a bio metal type of tattoo, but with 3 dimensional shapes instead. Some are hollow, some thick walled some thin.

At an early age my mother taught me to draw landscapes and how to draw things in proper perspective. I do a lot of roads running up the side of jagged cliffs, going through mountains and tunnels etc.

The reason I love track making.

I can take the landscapes and objects I have in my head, and lay them out in a 3 dimensional shape. I can animate them, color them make them move, face the observer.

I also enjoy the fact that I am limited by the engine (call me weird). Working within limits makes a person use a combination of imagination and ingenuity to get the effects and the scenery they are looking for.

In snowbound, the train trestle, water fall near the end, and the snow caves, the ending driving on the side of the cliffs surround by trees, etc. These are all imaginary scenes I had been dreaming about for years. The MTM2 engine and traxx aloud me to share that vision/dream with others. I am grateful for the medium.
