I have recently been playing with new tracks, trucks, and everything else pod. Yesterday, I had 60 things podded and the game wouldnt launch. It would simply think for a while, and do nothing. In the Alt - tab menu it shows it as 'Error' but it wont tell me what error. I removed a file, and it worked. Today, I got a track or two more, and it happened again at 59, so I removed one and it worked again. It seems every time I do this, I can use one less file! I currently have 52 files, and it still wont work (last time it worked, it was at 57). I keep lessening it, but nothing will make it load anymore. No matter how many I take off. What have I done?!

EDIT: I just tryed it again, and it wont even show up in ALT - TAB anymore...grrrr...

do you have the patch installed?

have you tried rebooting... once my pc had some memory problems and would do what you described and the only temp fix was to reboot until I replaced some memory then it worked fine.

hmm... Well, running Pod-it or Podini should repair a broken pod.ini, which you may now have, and be sure to Ctrl-Alt-Delete and close monster.exe before trying it again after crashing. When you have a clean pod.ini mount pods a few at a time, especially trucks, to weed out trouble makers. Good luck.

I have 384 megs of ram but one of the sticks went bad on me at the time...

for MBM tracks besides OLD Nick's, do a search for Team Death, he made a couple of the best.

I once had a .pod file (it was a track) that messed my whole game. I needed a uninstall and then reinstall the game again or else it wouldn't have worked.
