Paul, that is because when the game was first released, folks did not know the extra accessories/modifications that could be done with the game. By the time everyone figured out how good the game was, and how you could modify and update it anytime you want the company that created it (Papyrus) had shut down operations.

That is why the prices are so much higher now because of how rare a game like this comes along. Especially with it being a NASCAR game. I guarantee you if Papyrus would have waited longer to cease operations we'd still be seeing NR2008-2009 and so on.

Just wondering... Do you know why Papyrus shut down their operations?

I really have no idea, All I know is there are a bunch of old Papyrus makers working on the new Sim called iRacing. Which would now basically be NR2009 if they did not split up in 2003.

Sucks though, iRacing costs like $19.00 a month, and like $156.00 a year.

You think that's bad you also have to pay for add on downloads too, every time. [bump]

[gah] That's a total rip off. Just for a video game.

I had a 10 day free trial for that.

The money you pay each month... Not worth it.

I just downloaded the demo, and the gameplay is SWEET!!!

Even the GRAPHICS are sweet for a 2003 game. I hope to expect the game at my doorstep in 3 days.
