Hello, as you can see I am new to this forum and I love this game a lot, but I have a problem.

This message pops up when I try to load the game.

CRace::init- Unable to open SIT file.

File- D:\METAL\CRUSH2\core\RACE.CPP

Line- 243

If it helps here is all the pods in my pod.ini

!321.pod (a bunch of downloaded tracks combined using PodMate)
COCKPIT.POD
CRAZR8.POD (just in case I need it for official tracks)
FIXALL.POD
FIXMORE4.POD
GAME.POD
Music.POD
Sound.POD
STARTUP.POD
TRUCK2.POD
ui.pod
Tracks\WAKEUP.POD (just in case I need it for downloaded tracks)

Please help! [uhoh]

Never put pods ABOVE the default pods except fixmore pod

You list might work better if like this

FIXALL.POD
FIXMORE4.POD
COCKPIT.POD
Music.POD
Sound.POD
STARTUP.POD
ui.pod
GAME.POD
TRUCK2.POD
CRAZR8.POD
!321.pod
Tracks\WAKEUP.POD

According to MTMG, you have a corrupted POD file. Don't forget that you can only mount up to 99 pods and SIT files (tracks)

Alright, I tried a different order and it didn't work. So I decided "screw it" and throw all the tracks in there without merging them. Now I have 'too many .POD files at once' and the total is 99 according to PodIt.

Too many SIT files at once, perhaps?

I was reading trough the errors and it said something about a 'patch' that will let you have 99 pods.

What is the patch?

If you go to the main page for this site, at the top right-hand hand corner you will see "patch". Click on this to download it. Then just double-click and follow the instructions.
Once installed you can have 99 pods, and it also fixes some bugs for online play (I think).

CRAP! It 'can not find existing installation of Monster Truck Madness 2 (c) installation aborted'

I got my MTM2 from a torrent! [uhoh]
So that's probably why it won't work! Now what do I do to have all the tracks I like?

What is it.. Cowpod? It has a tool that you can set the registry so you can install the patch. Download Cowpod, extract to mtm2 folder, open cowpod, hit the registry key, click edit, then go to reset as-> MTM2. Works on vista also.

OMG THANK YOU! The cowpod resent thingy worked!

Now I just gotta find that corrupted race...

One more thing, sometimes my car spazzes out and gets flung and spun around in the air and crap, why?

Maybe because you went into a model. If you go into a model or groundbox, the game will fling you into the air just because that isn't supposed where your truck is supposed to be. If you do get caught in there, you WILL get flung into the air.

What "version" of the game do you have?
Did you finally get the patch to install?
What pod files came with the installation?
What pod files are you trying to add?
Where are you playing?
What operating system are you using?
Does the truck spaz out on all tracks or only some of them, which ones?

You see, you really haven't told us very much.

Oh, I got all that patch and pod file stuff taken care of. Everything works fine now. (cept for a couple corrupted tracks I had to get rid of.)

Only my truck (Grave Digger, who I use all the time) spazzes out. I also noticed it seems to happen when my truck is touching the other trucks when we 'appear' in midair.

Sorry, I have another problem. It is not that big of a deal, but it is kind of irritating. Everything near the bottom of my screen when I am racing 'stretches out' if that makes sense.

There's the answer.

And the bottom of the screen thing... Do you have a good graphics driver?

So if I start those races with less trucks that problem will be fixed?

Yeah, my graphics driver is good, but not super. Like I said, its really not that big of a deal.

Now I have another problem! :(

The game says these tracks are corrupted.

Very Long Silly Rally
Visa-Versa
Zoon Kitchen (1)
Zoon Coaster (2)

Any way to fix this?

Try racing with just 3 trucks. If that works, try 5.

If you're having a problem with 7 trucks, maybe using all stock opponents would work.
