ok, the league i'll be running in (pprl) rules state that in the old school class, you gotta run a manual tranny. when i hit the gas, and then let off, it doesn't coast to a stop - it keeps going at that throttle imput - essentially, the throttle sticks, making it very hard to drive. is the game supposed to be like this or is mine messed up?

Did you configure the brake? I think, I don't recall because I've never done it, but I think you can set up auto-brakes in the "game" options.

In manual you have to tap on the brakes to let off the gas.

auto brake works to an extent but I wouldn't recommend anyone use it.

Just to be sure, are you using keys? If so, then yeah - tap the brake to release the gas. If you're using a controller releasing the gas should allow you to coast. If not, then there's is indeed a configuration problem.

Key user here, same situation happens with mine. After years of driving with keys on manual, you get used to it lol. A sharp, quick tap of the brakes will do the trick so that you let off the throttle, but don't brake too much and slow down unintentionally. 8)
