Hey Angus! Whats up? Nothings going on over here, but I did find something that might of some interest to you: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/6210/
That's right, your old web site addy! VERY suprisingly, the whole site is there, even the downloads. I picked up Arena Mayhem 2 and looked the site over. Didn't look that much different then as it does now. But what the heck happened to Medival Rally? Well, I gotta go try out Arena Mayhem 2 again. Bye bye for now!

I must say, I'm amazed! I had no idea Geocities hadn't killed that site off for being un-updated for some 2 years... Geez, I don't think I even HAVE that track anymore! I think I released that track the same summer as I got my first 3d card, so, yeah, that'd be around the summer of '98. The idea for that track was from, guess what, my old MTM1 track, Arena Mayhem, which was developed by myself and Blackwind, a good friend of mine (then - haven't seen him in a long time!). The water was there because we'd found out about slip-slidin' water in one of those VERY FIRST MTM1 add-on tracks. The big hill was from another early track, because we found out how to do wheelies on it. As for #2... Have ya found the invisible platform yet? Heheee! What a blast from the past! Thanks, man!

Oh yes, and Medieval Rally... well, that was a rally I was doing with Lightning (then Point_Zero, now 2XTreme I believe). We had a whole lot of fun with that one, and we spent a great deal of time working on it, but when he quit MTM, it kinda got forgotten. However, Driven_Out and I are working on a surreal track right now, with all sorts of sick, twisted things you wouldn't see on any normal track. Watch for it, it'll be great! I've got the terrain done, and I'm working on textures for it now. As usual, the textures will all be custom!

Hehe Arena Mayhem's still cool, even though it's way outta date, and where's all the objects? It's an empty track! Image I haven't found an invisible platform or anything in this track, and you must have released a new version not too long after I left the MTM community(Spring '98 I believe it was), because the music in it doesn't work(Nirvana rocks) Image Oh well. Still a great track, but where'd you come up with the name, and whos {[Death]} or something like that? And since I'm asking questions right now, what happened to the truck you were making for me? Image

Why the hell isn't there an embarassed smiley in that lil list? }|DeatH{| was my old name. In Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, Death is a rather odd character, usually doing his job, but his grasp of certain things is a little... odd. I'd recommend, to get the full impact, that you read Hogfather. In it, he has a difficult - and extremely funny - time with a doorknob. He has to fill in for the Hogfather (the Discworld equivalent of Santa) when he's temporarily indisposed, as is the Tooth Fairy. When you read these books, you'll understand ever so clearly why I chose that name. There are 24. The first is "The Colour of Magic".

What truck? I was making you a truck? Yes, I know, the track hasn't got many bins in it, but the platform IS there... I forget how to get onto it, I'll have to pod the track again and take a peek, or open 'er up in Traxx. I honestly don't remember doing a truck for ya though...

Now taking nominations for seven additional message smilies.

And.

Sounds to me like there's nothing to be embarrassed about a name when it's rooted so deeply into a series of, err, odd novels.

And.

"What truck? I was making you a truck?"
101.5 The Zone ring a bell? Yep, you said you would make me a truck, yet I guess you never finished it. That's alright, tho, HacMan made an excellent one for me. There are shots of it at: http://www.sealteamsix.com/kylejcrb/thezone.html

"Yes, I know, the track hasn't got many bins in it, but the platform IS there..."
Found it AND Mount Blackwind. Leads to nowhere, but its still a neat effect not used in very many other tracks.

Heheh... I'll make some smileys if they don't have em, but I'd say...
embarassed
tongue hanging out
animated googly eyes
tongue hanging out, drooling
bump on the head, one eye an "x"
dead, sickly color
animated, blowing bubble gum

Actually, Kyle, I do vaguely remember the truck, but I think the problem was that you sent me the graphics in the AOL format, which I have absolutely no way of viewing. There are plenty more mountains on there.. hehe... MAN that track was fun to make. And Phin, the reason I was embarasses was that people were always asking questions, and I'd like nothing more than to recall the track for a name change.

"I think the problem was that you sent me the graphics in the AOL format, which I have absolutely no way of viewing."

Correcto mundo, Angus! I fixed them, but I never sent them. That's alright, did you check out the new version? Looks awesome, thanks to Hacman.

"MAN that track was fun to make."

Looks like you had some crazy fun with it, with all the crazy stuff hanging around, and the wierd lookin' trucks that came with it.

"And Phin, the reason I was embarasses was that people were always asking questions, and I'd like nothing more than to recall the track for a name change."

Like Phin said, what's to be embarressed about? Death sounds like a cool character. I love good comic relief(But I'll always hate Jar Jar Binks! GRRR!).

I take it by that grin you think I should increase smilies not by seven but by twenty eight?

Me too. I've seen them all before. I got them from other sites. I'm still hesitant to put them "all" as options since they'll make the post page lag...

What'cha mean you've seen 'em before? The only one that's EVER been seen before was the Stomper smiley. I scratchbuilt the rest the other day. Phin, however, has seen a few of them when I showed them to him, but at least 5 or 6 of those have never been seen! Someone been hacking me?
