Couple quick questions (beginning work on a project...)

1. Does grip depth correlate with any specific measurement in game (like grip depth of 2 = altitude change of 2)?

2. If using a model for a ramp/jump in an ST track, will the truck interact with it as it should if I place the model at ground level, or does the model need to be placed "buried" in the ground to get it to work correctly?

It's been a LONNNNG time, and I was never a track maker. But I believe I recall that the invisible ramps had to be lowered. I do not recall how the height of the trucks were lowered in the track. I think Phineus made a convertor for stock tracks.

Looks like there are still traces of my old SMALL TIRES site lurking about, but few working D/Ls: https://web.archive.org/web/20030405093 ... _tires.htm

I've never done ST tracks so I can't help you out there.

The grip depth correlates but I'm not sure if it's a 1:1 correlation. For example if you put 10 or 20 grip depth you will see the trunk sink into the texture.

You can see an example here:
