 Post subject: backgrounds

can you have two different backgrounds at once on your track? like one in the north and the other one in the south.

Yes, the "Backdrop" in mtm2 is a model very similar to every other model (trees, tires, billboards). If you have knowledge in editing MTM2 models it will not be difficult to create a custom backdrop.
This is a good source of info on creating your own custom backdrops and there may be a better one (speak up if u know of one guys):

p.s. navigation to the other backdrop info is on the left hand side of that page under the headings "Backdrops" Pretty intuitive eh?

I just realized I might have misinterpreted your question. Were you asking whether you can have the backdrop show trees when you are on the north half of the map and show mountains when you are on the south half of the map? If that is your question then the answer is no unfortunately.

You can make it so it is one way when facing that way, and make it look different when facing away from it. Yes, that can be done.

ok that confusses me. is there a backdrop that is nothing but trees. you know like a forest
