This is an extremely fast-paced and exciting track.  Wide open roads with several red-herrings to lure you onto the wrong path.  The course travels over some pretty quick country roads and then takes you into the hills for some dirt roading fun.

Black Fork shows all the signs of an ambitious rookie track maker (i.e., a good shot at banked corners, a considerable bit of sloppy farm road textures and some terrain roughness), but, amazingly, has a layout that even seasoned pros can enjoy.  Black Fork guarantees a rip-snortin' good time every time.

I've run this track well into the hundreds if not thousands of laps and have yet to find any red herrings? but I believe I once saw a carp fly across the canyon in one late night session Image...
seriously now, this one should be permanantly burned into your hard drive if your into online racing at all because its tailor made for just that, and even after you've logged hundreds of laps or races you'll still find it enjoyable long after.

I'm not going to go into detail here since this track has been around a while, but there is one thing I'd like to point out that most people either fail to realize or don't fully appreciate.

Before I get to the point, first let me point out that this is a pro-level track, so if you're new to the game, you might consider foregoing this one for...well, a year. Hehehe, ok maybe that's stretching it a bit, but it is a tough track that is very demanding in terms of skills required to successfully complete a lap, and a good lap time is around the 2:08 mark.

Phin made note of the obvious imperfections and flaws indicative of a new track maker, which I certainly won't contest. The great thing about this track, however, is it "forces" the racer to overcome them, to be creative in order to effectively run the course, and I love it. I wish the track made good replays so I could post it in order to demonstrate what I mean, but it doesn't.

Still, flaws and all, I love this track!!! To me it truly defines what pro racing is REALLY all about. Image

PS - I didn't see no dang herrings either. Screwed up the dosage on your meds again, huh Phin? Image

Oh brother, I try to be objective and not show favoritism toward a fellow mtmg'er and look what it gets ya. That aside, when you travel at my speed, you notice all sorts of things the faster racers never get the chance to see. Slow down a bit and you'd be surprised.

here fishy fishy fishy
