Hehe--well the boy wonder is at it again, and coming off of Havoline MX, he's shown he hasn't lost a step where track making is concerned. Unbeknownst to most of you out there, Jr. (that's what I call him) has approximately 15 unfinished tracks on his computer, one of which I like very much, but he hasn't been "inspired" enough to finish it. If I lived in Australia I'd “inspire” him all right. Hehehe

But enough of that; let's talk about this track. As the name suggest, it's set in a mine, and it takes you on quite an adventurous ride thru the tunnels of an underground enclosure. The detail work is great, from the shovels (made by ONaN) to a mine rail system that actually works to the heavy-duty equipment you'll find (extremely well placed) throughout…and the atmosphere is excellent! The road texture is "primo" for racing, however, controlled, semi-power slides are a must if you hope to successfully traverse this baby. Also, the map is highly recommended until you're familiar with the track's course.

I wouldn't necessarily call this a finesse track, but at the same time, no one will need worry about breaking the land speed record, either. Both speed and control are necessary at certain parts, and he’s mixed it up quite nicely. Additionally, for those of you who are just starting your racing careers, this one is very…do-able!

I must say, it's nice to see the upward swing in the production of circuits and rallys, and Jr. is in part responsible for racing becoming popular again, as is his older and smarter (well…sometimes) brother, GB (SLO_Gutterboy). And I would be remiss in my social graces if I failed to mention the rest of this new generation of heavy-hitters in the track making field, such as HotShoe, Mouse, Mantagasco, and the return of a young lady who’s been on the sideline for a while, EmmaSW.

All ‘n all this is an excellent track, and I’m sure many will feel just as I do with respect to how much fun it is to run. This one earns a "Copey rating" of 9.5!!! I woulda given the little dirtbag a 10, but he failed to put in a directional sign where I thought he should've. He's pretty stubborn, and a pain to beta test for most of the time. Hehehe—that’s the beauty of doing these reviews; I can say whatever I want...and there's not a thing he can do about it!!

I must say this track simply blew me away when I first saw it, it has it's flaws but it's still a masterpiece of design and execution, excellent work PreACheR!
