I was catching up in the beta section today (never know what you are going to learn in there), and came across this little gem of a track. I read the beta comments so I was prepared for a steep learning curve and a frustration, Whoa! was I pleasantly surprised.

The lines on this track are really set up for racing. I don't know whether this was because Fila himself was a racer or the comments he received during the beta phase, either way the course is a pleasure to run.

I started the run out just to have a peek and see what the track was like(I usually don't even finish a lap when I am learning/checking out others work). Once I had The Ouch!meister loaded and hit a few curves I was hooked.

The Ouch!Meister not only runs good, but looks good as well. The of textures, props, and altitude worked Fila used help give clues and to help guide racer and keep them on the track.

Many track makers fall into a trap when they get "hooked" on an idea for a prop or course layout, and work to so hard to include it in their tracks that the racing lines and enjoyment of actually driving the track suffer. Fila didn't make the mistake that I've seen in a lot of tracks, quite the opposite here. Fila's "Dig site" and "jump under" bridges meld with the course perfectly.

Even the little "pop" up or "hop" your truck will do where the snow meets dirt kind of adds to the feel of the track.


All in all I feel that Fila did a great job on this track. I was surprised to get sucked in to a track I was just going to have peek at and try to learn from. I ended up finishing the default four laps, and going back for another four. his one's going on my "always podded" list, and I look forward to racing it online.

In understand this track is from 2007 and the review is a little late, but I just couldn't help but pull this thread up and share my opinion. I have run a lot of tracks in the last three weeks and very few have held my attention for long. The Ouch!meister is winner in my book.
