Could you mean one of the autocross series?

Or Old Mars?

Or something less extreme?

OnAN Rock Pit may be what you're looking for.

Any more clues or descriptions? can you draw a rough sketch of the course layout...the more info you can provide, the better the chance we have of finding it......between us all, we've probably driven nearly every trak here....

The "coming and going" reminds me of a indoor circuit I drove once that was a huge cloverleaf layout, with trucks running both directions on some portions of the roadway....just a hunch.

Well 'green road' 'older track' are the key words here and the only two I could think of with green roads were the rock pit and wake up, but wake up is too recent so I didn't mention it.

Green?

What I've been wondering is what about terrain details, models that stood out, stuff like that.

Rooskie ridge had a green road... mostly green anyways :_)

and ...

Panama is pretty much a solid green and has a flying saucer stuck in the side of a hill for a model that stands out... but the cp's are too spread out and you can't see racers coming and going unless you drive like me that is :)

A lot of ONaN's tracks have very green terrain. What about Jumpin Johns MX?

http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=jumpin+johns&track=on

Blue Ridge Run?

http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=Blue+Ridge&track=on

Havoline MX?

http://mtm2.com/~tracks/tracks.cgi?search=Havoline+MX&track=on

Havoline MX would be my guess.

Green terrain
Yes

Green road
Yes

Old track
Yes

See other racers
Yes

Circuit
Yes

Close checkpoints
Don't know

Hope that helps. :)

LOL don't worry RF - I laughed (snickered actually). Ok who's up next with another shot at this thing lol? By the way I think the "racers seeing each other coming and going is a pretty significant discriminator". Have you had a look at all the tracks by Yves B, Charles?

What I think would really narrow it down is to find out, wether it is a Circuit or an MX style track.

Charles, help me out here. You said it was like Get Psycho, that's an MX style track. I can think of dozens of tracks with goofy textured roads, but I wanna know the layout.

Jumps? Big ones? Is there water in it? What do the checkpoints look like? Is there Hay or any kind of track wall or barriers? Sponsor bilboards? Pictures of naked ladies? Picture of Cope's face?

C'mon, lol!
that one should make you laugh Cope [:P]
