Re: Traxx Java port

I'm releasing an alpha version of JTraxx (0.5) it's a fully featured track viewer for MTM2, supporting both SIT (thru POD files) and TXX (Traxx format) files. It follow many of the Traxx original UI design cues while adding more options, a fully resizeable 3D view, extensive increase in draw ...

Re: Traxx Java port

Oh that's really cool. Having a higher resolution traxx would be great.
indeed, while currently the render is inspired in Traxx software render, in the future we can move onto using openGL.

It looks neat.

BTW, will you add some new features like "Saving track as MTM1 track" and "Giving you a ...

MTM2 Localization Reverse Engineering (with AI) – Findings + Reconstructed .LOC

Spent some time digging into how Monster Truck Madness 2 handles localization, using AI to speed up the binary analysis. Sharing results here since this might be useful for modding / translations in the future, and ...

Re: Download issue

somebody needs to fix the php download script. or fix the domain name issue.

in the meantime, you can download trucks (and probably tracks too) by switching the domain name.

ex: for DR Monstaa (V2) by Luqman2_The_Mixel & Jamie Williams, the download link on the truck page is http://li520-11 ...

Re: Are these Hellbender resources lost to time?

Basically we have the tools (even more advanced that could help you) but not the levels. Many years ago I noticed there was a level editor (helledit) but I never saw levels for download on the internet.
You can use more modern utilities for POD files like CH-POD or Winpod32 if you like MDMRE's. they ...

Re: If TRI won't make MTM3... I WILL! ~legendofwii92

May I suggest a different name?

I will always support mod creators and this is no exception but I think "MTM3" would be a little bit confusing. There has been maaaaaaany attempts to make an "MTM3" over the years, so when you mention it, it can lead to confusion.

Re: A note for Windows 11 users

I do seriously wonder if the source code comes with how the "SETUP" exe works on different versions of Windows, no?

I think everything was defined in a configuration file. Or was it just MTM1 with its classical windows 95 installer?
Still, we have pretty much everything figured out by now. you ...

You've done the best you can, Fila.

I was hoping StrikerTheHedgefox, who joined here not too long ago, would be a great helping hand at porting the game to DX11/OpenGL, he's already been working on a source port for TRI games such as Terminal Velocity, Hellbender, and Fury3 known as "TerminalFury ...
