Re: MTM2 Beta Patch 0.27 - UPDATED AGAIN!!!
Awesome work! Fila do you have any issues if I crosspost, and mirror the patches on my site?

MTM: HD UI Artwork
Did some work on this during a free moment, not sure I'll make use of any of this just yet just toying with an idea. And putting them up so anyone else wanting to update MTM can use them as well.
NOTE: These are 2048x2048 lossless textures at 6MB a piece. Originals posted next to them.

Re: Ole' school. Source to BinEdit and Trackview
The games have two different audiences, and try as I might I can't meet them perfectly. Compatibility is pretty high right now, and with the code for both being accessible, we have the missing pieces.

Re: Ole' school. Source to BinEdit and Trackview
If we could all decide on a cohesive plan, a unofficial sequel is entirely possible. We easily have the people with the skill and knowledge on the programming side of things at this point.

MTM / Terminal Reality Christmas Card 1996
Searched the forums for this, with no results so hopefully it's not a repost. Once a month or so I do a search in-order to locate fans of MTM/4x4Evo. And found a few items tagged on instagram, looks to be a MTM themed company Christmas card from 1996 and another drawing from Chuck Carson.

It most likely is, as it's referred to "SyncRetrace" in monster.ini.

Re: Bad News...
You know nothing really is stopping it from being called anything else, and then having the community provide all new content. Think about it, this game does not even have 1/8th (Maybe even less) of the content 4x4Evo has. And there are a lot of people here that can probably sort that. :)

Re: MTM2 Source Code
I'm assuming they used Watcom to compile it back then, however it shouldn't be too much work to get it working on something a bit more modern. Feel free to message, or hit me up on IRC as well we can probably help somewhat. As I'd imagine some conventions to be similar.

4x4 EvoR: Patch 011 BETA is live!
Been sitting on this for way too long, it's nowhere near done but here it is. From here on hopefully we'll return to making small monthly patches. Despite some bugs however, this is still a massive update. Full list of all changes are at www.4x4evolution.com, here are the MTM related changes:

Re: MTM2 Source Code
Of course I'm still here, there will be the curve in getting it compiled. But once that hurdle is sorted, those limitations will easily melt away much as they did with EvoR.
I don't really have as much vested interest in MTM as Jpez does, nor do our goals quite align. But hopefully this helps ya'll ...

Re: 4x4 Evolution Revival Project
The next patch made some differences in timing calculations that was causing menu freezes, we'll see if it has any impact on game physics.I'll try those tracks out today, and see if I can make some tweaks. I agree on the sim physics mode, I like it way better. However I got some pushback on it, much ...

Sounds like you landed a pretty cool gig there. Mostly busy myself as well, between the military, a newborn, 4x4 EvoR, and a whole host of other items.

Re: Object limitation differences between EVO and MTM
No idea exactly, Leo seemed to be under the impression that some limits were lower. I was thinking everything as higher.
Out of curiousity what did the ramps do exactly, vs. a normal collision box.

Object limitation differences between EVO and MTM
I'm not terribly familiar with track creation for MTM2, however Leo pointed out MTM2 had some higher limits. If someone could enlighten me on the maximum caps for the various limits I'll make sure the next release meets those requirements, it should help with track compatibility.

Re: 4x4 Evolution Revival Project

Minor update, and a chance to show off a WIP. Ground splines will now be optional on new tracks, should you want to make something more angular.

Same boat here, no time to do any updates. Have some good stuff coming, but sadly it's not much to do with MTM2 compatibility for this update.

Re: Increased draw distance on MTM2
I experienced a lot of random issues when I did. However it could be entirely possible I bumped up the wrong value. My primary focus is 4x4EvoR, I just wanted to test a theory and pass the knowledge on to hopefully improve MTM2. I wish I could put more energy into it, but I have too much on my plate ...

Re: MTM2 Render Distance Patch
It should be from the sound of it. Try lowering the 100h to something absurdly low like 10h to force a crash. That will let you know it's correct, if it's crashing when set to anything over 100h (256) it's likely they didn't set aside more memory. I don't know how to fix that this way.
