This truck, a replica of the famous Fort Myers Florida monster truck Iron Warrior, was made for James H. (gentlebear).

This thing was a whole lot of work but the final result is well worth it. I modified the body from Inky and Rudd's Bad Influence '98 replica and totally remapped it. It sits upon one of the most complex frames I've ever seen, which I had to build from scratch by myself (unfortunately in the game you usually can't see much of the results of all my hard work!), and includes some very fancy cantilever suspension units on all four corners, which I also made using some bits and pieces I have lying on my HD (they're basically just standard shock models with added bits). At this point I found I was way over the 1000-vertex limit and hadn't even added an engine, so I then pulled it apart and set about trying to reduce the vertex count. In the end it was a losing battle, but the time spent culling verts was beneficial as it now weighs in at 1272 vertices and 1288 faces (it probably would have spiralled above 1500 if I had opted to do nothing!). Although it is over the 1000 vert limit it still seems to work well on machines with 3D-accelerators, so it is probably worth trying it out before you turn Truck Reflections off.

To complete the picture, I threw in the old Fibreglass TC engine by Karmageddon (I use this model far too much... ;) with blower by EEEEEman and custom headers, and made it some yellow link bars and custom wheels. Sorry, no .WAV file for this one, I tried but it was just too damn hard.

The truck handles quite well, I did my best to emulate the real thing which is known for it's turning ability. Perhaps the only thing that is not consistent with the real thing is the sponsers on the tailgate, but I just could not find a recent rear-view pic and in the end got sick of it just sitting on my HD, so the sponser arrangement on the tailgate is modelled after an older pic (and from the wildly varying information I was receiving, the sponser stickers on the truck seemed to change at the drop of a hat!).

I'd like to thank Glen Bowln and Tony Zeilinski, the owners of the Iron Warrior monster truck, who James contacted on my behalf and who allowed this truck to be the 'official' Iron Warrior replica for MTM2. I'd also like to thank my beta testers; BAD311, BigDog, IDRAcc_Angus and IDRAc_Blizzard (and gentlebear). And finally I'd like to thank you, dear reader, for downloading this truck and for reading through my somewhat long-winded text file :)
