Goldberg by Kiel McClelland 1/4/04

I began making this truck almost 3 years ago. The original model file says that it was created on Monday, April 23, 2001. My original intent was to create a truck called "Goldnerd" to make fun of Tom Meents and the at-the-time wrestling sponsorship trucks thanks to SFX (now CCE) Entertainment. After that all fizzled out - my immense hatred for the truck relieved slightly, and I decided not to let the body go to waste. I started the body from TRI's Boogey Van BIN, and slowly molded it into a shape that looked roughly like the Goldberg body. I ran into a few problems in BinEdit while creating the body, around this same time I had downloaded a trial of MilkShape 3D, and goofed around with some of my bins. Eventually, I wound up fixing some of the problems that would've taken me days in BinEdit in meer minutes. I'm not proud of using MilkShape, and haven't used it for any of the other trucks I released before this (IE the Avenger pack, Motorbreath, etc.)

Anyways, this replica of Goldberg is kind of a culmination of what comes to mind when you think of what the truck was. I left off the lexan sponsor plates on the cradle since Tom never had a big emphasis on his sponsors, and didn't want to take away from the rest of the truck. The shock setup is modeled after one of the last setups Tom used with the Goldberg body, 2 nitrogen shocks on each corner, with a huge coil spring around one of them. This is not the original setup which Goldberg debuted with/Bulldozer used - which was one nitrogen shock with one coil over shock.

I put many hours of work into crafting this body along with hand painting the replication of Bill Goldberg's tattoo designs that are themed on the truck. Bill's face is from the Hot Wheels Goldberg with the first release long cards, everything else was hand painted.
