   *** Crazy 80 (CORR racer) *** 12/22/02

This is a fully custom Ford race truck I made for the new CORR or ICORR racing leagues. The sponsor is Edelbrock Performance.

I started with the stock Ford F-150 crew cab body from 4x4 EVO. Major modifications include Trans-Am style extended front fenders with brake-cooling exhaust vents, and a new rear section with flared fenders. The trick red/white paint and decals were done in Arcsoft Photostudio and Adobe Photoshop.

A big-block 502 cubic inch engine with a dual-carb tunnel ram intake manifold was bolted in, with animated belt and pulleys, and a lightweight aluminum radiator with dual electric fans mounted to the crome-moly steel frame in back, away from flying rocks. Long travel gas shocks dampen the bouncy-bouncy, and extra-bright lights up front let the driver see where he's going during night events.

Simulated CORR-legal fully-independant suspension axles are shod with 44-inch offroad tires, mounted on heavy-duty steel 6-spoke truck rims painted white. Much work was done to get my 6-spokers and independant axles below the CORR-required 150 vertix maximum for tires and 100 for axles. The final count was 149 and 98 respectively. The main body model is 1361 vertices.

Finally, a wav file of Army Armstrong saying "CRAZY 80" was included. it is a custom cut & splice sound file made from the stock "crazy 8" wav file.

You can use this small tire truck on any track,... but if it's not an "ST" track, then the truck will float slightly above the surface......
