**PENDA PACK-SEDALIA 1993**

"This is what I like to see...a bunch of class 2, 2.5, and 3 monsters battling it out on a long straight line course...this is real racing."

Well, it's been a long time, but I finally decided to get off my butt and finish more tracks for my PENDA track pack that I started long ago with PENDA Columbus Ohio 1992. This track, Sedalia, Missouri in 1993, is the second PENDA track I've made, and there'll be many more to come in the future.

*INFORMATION*

This track is sometime during the 1992/93 season (tapes are dated weird that I have, but it's one of those two ;-). In the particular race from Sedalia that I have taped, the action was rained out after the second round concluded, but not before some amazing action took place. Gary Porter and John Moore, driving Carolina Crusher and No Problem! respectively, had a rarity for any event...a dead heat (both trucks crossed the finish line with the exact same time). Moore decided not to rerun his truck for some reason, and Porter advanced. Then Kirk Dabney, driving Nitemare, went up against Fred Shafer's awesome new Dodge Bear Foot truck and lost in the first round, then came back as the fast loser. His reward for fighting back? Another race with Bear Foot, which he eventually lost...but he tried so hard at the end, he had one of the most memorable crashes PENDA racing saw, and amazing back-and-forth, almost saved rollover that was the last pass of the day before things got rained out. Maybe in MTM2, it won't be raining ;-) and you can finish the race.

In case you want to run the race the way it was actually run, the trucks at the event were as
follows:
1. Bigfoot 10 (Andy Brass)
2. Snake Bite (Colt Cobra)
3. Carolina Crusher (Gary Porter)
4. Tropical Thunder (Wayne Smozanek)
5. Bearfoot (Fred Shafer)
6. No Problem (John Moore)
7. Just Show-N-Off (Pablo Huffaker)
8. Black Stallion (Mike Vaters)
9. Nitemare (Kirk Dabney)
10. King Krunch 7 (Scott Stephens)

ALSO...

***VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE COMPUTER-RACEABLE VERSION***

If you want the race to run correctly, you must set the number of computer opponents and the lap count to 1 on the computer-raceable version, and you must also start out in the right lane for the computer to race you. I tried to make the comps competitive but not unbelievable. From just some light testing, 5.2's are pretty decent times for your truck to get.

CREDITS:

Textures are 90% DeMoN's (beeeeautiful) and 10% mine.
Models-I made the white hydrobarriers, the PENDA sponsor boards, the two brown telephone poles, the big BF Goodrich tire (modified from Replica Fan's Carolina Crusher tire), the ramps, and I modified BF4X4's cars heavily. The stands, tent, hay bales, and orange cones are stock. The stands, fences, light poles, and trailers I have no idea because they are used often and not everyone gives credit where it's due. The loaders and the light tree are TRI's and BF4x4's. If one of those is yours, I'll be glad to give credit where it's due:).

One more credit-Betrayal88 for his inspiring me to do PENDA tracks. I figured if he put 110% into his great PENDA trucks (sorely under-represented in the MTM2 community, nobody seems to want to make them but him), then we should have some tracks from that era to bomb around on...and that's where I came in ;-). Thanks for the inspiration man.

Thanks for downloading this PENDA track; I hope you'll appreciate it for the era of racing it was (Read-THIS WAS BEFORE FREESTYLE!). Enjoy!
