BINedit Program Interface

Double-click the executable file to run the program. This will have the name BINeditSGI.exe or BINeditMS.exe depending on which version of BINedit you have downloaded and installed, but both use the same icon, displayed here on the left, so the program is instantly recognisable.

Upon running the program you will likely be greeted by something similar to below. Run your mouse cursor over the image and click on the part that you want to learn about, or alternately you can just follow the links down the left-hand side or at the bottom of each page. If you have a JavaScript-enabled browser, you should also see the image below change to display the drop-down menu when you move your cursor over a menu heading (cool ain't it?).

BINedit utilises both the keyboard and mouse for input, but the majority of the focus is on the keyboard. So that is what we shall look at first.
